Men

Men Ministry

The Men of the Main Place may look different from one another and represent the full spectrum of life stages, but together we are seeking a deeper relationship with Christ. The Main Place men’s ministry helps men discover how to become Godly disciples of Christ with a responsibility to lead out of love and compassion.

Join Pastor Don every Thursday morning @ 6:30 am as he takes the men into a journey. They pray, read the bible and have some fellowship before they move on to their regular routines.

Men will have a men’s breakfast on the last Saturday of each month. 8:00 a.m.

                                (Gleaned from “Influencers West”)

We believe these things about men:
We see men not as they are, but as they will be when Jesus Christ is truly Lord of their lives.  (Heb 12:2; Rom 12:1-2)
We see men who have the mind of Christ, who know their purpose in life, and who make all their decisions with the gospel of Jesus Christ in full view.  (Col 1:19-23)
We see spiritually hungry men who are eager to grow to become the men of God they know God created them to be.   (2 Peter 3:18; 2 Tim 3:16-17)
We see men who understand what it means to be a man of God, and who are secure in that identity, knowing their adequacy comes from Him.  (Eph 3:14-19)
We see men who are not insecure or fearful to embrace their role as spiritual leaders with their wives, children and in their church.  (1 Tim 1:5)
We see men banding together to finish strong by helping each other reach the “1 Timothy 4:7” finish line.  (1 Cor 1:10)
We see men who are understand what it means to be free in the grace of Christ and are helping other men become free as well.   (Eph 2:1-10)
We see men who are focused, prepared, on their guard, and standing firm in the faith.   (1 Peter 5:6-10)
We see men who spend much time in the presence of Jesus Christ, and out of their intimate relationship with Him, exercise their God-given gifts and passions in the service of their local church.   (James 4:8; Heb 10:23-25)
We see men influencing their world for Christ because they have spent much time with Him and have become like Him.   (Acts 2:41; 4:4; 4:13)
Our motto: When the crisis comes and courage is required, God expects His men to have such confidence in Him that they will be the dependable ones.  (Heb 4:16)
