20 Churches in 20 Years

Is it time for your church to plant a church?

1- Are there any population segments or people groups in
your area that are currently not being reached by any
church?

2- Is your current worship space and/or educational space
at more than 80% capacity?

3- Has your church adopted an international people group?
Is that same group represented in North America.

4- Has God given your church (or members of your church)
a passion for a particular people group or population
segment?

5- Is there a segment of your church body that would
naturally–even perhaps better– fit an expression of
church that is different from your church?

6- Is the church-to-population ratio in your community
getting larger?

7- Was there a time when churches in your area were
connecting better with the community than they are
today?

20/20 Vision

Each participating church commits to the network a term of 20 years. Starting one church each year. Each ‘church start’ automatically agrees to do the same.

Training Center

Each pastor will determine his own apprentice and send that person to the training center for one year. During that year the church and ’sending’ pastor will license the apprentice to preach the Gospel and will mentor the candidate until his ordination (1Yr.) The sending pastor and pastor apprentice will determine the location of the new church and it’s policies. Upon completion of training and prior to ordination, a review board will meet to discuss the apprentice and potential, and determine the viability for network admission.

Church Network

Each participating church pastor will have a seat on the executive board of directors (Senior pastor only). The executive board will recommend admission, church discipline and removal of non-conforming pastors and/or churches.

Fund Vision

Each participating church will contribute $100 per month to the fund. The fund will be used to train and support apprentices to start churches. The vision fund will begin with $500,000.00 endowment from The Main Place Christian Fellowship and will expect other churches to make similar donations as God blesses. A vision fund executive team will administer the funds. This team will be made up from experienced church starters only.
